After playing with the pieces that had been melted together I started to look at how light would react and travel through, as I had originally started with looking at lighting.
What I found was quite interesting and found myself starting to connect more and more pieces together until I had created quite a large spiral lampshade.
As there was too much cutlery it became quite weighty, so to make it strong enough to hold its own I reinforced it with wire hidden within the cutlery.
Although I enjoyed the outcome that I had created, there had been no real plan to what I was making as it was more of an experiment to seen how it would hold. At this point I started to look into using a different shape.
